Description
CWDM OADM Solutions with East and West Dual Site
The two-sided OADM drops a specific channel from the network and sends it to a local interface in one direction, then adds the same channel back to the network fiber in the opposite direction from a second local port, thus achieving two-sided transmission and wavelength reuse.
CWDM OAMD Solutions with East or West Single Site
The single-sided OADM drops one or several specific channels from the network in one direction and sends them to a local interface. The remaining channels are passed straight through to other nodes along the network without adding back. This approach of dropping out the wavelengths and bypassing the remaining channels is much like a CWDM MUX solution with upgrade port.
CWDM OADM solutions are used in WDM systems to multiplex and route different channel wavelengths into or out of a single mode fiber. It is ideal for creating a CWDM bus network by connecting two OADM devices together and work with a Mux Demux.
Dual fiber DWDM OADM adds and drops optical signals of same wavelengths into two fibers, while letting the rest of the wavelengths bypass to the needed destination. The DWDM transceiver connected to DWDM OADM should have the same wavelength as the client port.
The dual-sided OADM removes one channel from the network in one direction and sends it to a local interface in one direction. It also allows a second local port to add the same channel back onto the network fiber in the opposite direction.
In single fiber applications, DWDM OADM adds and drops optical signals of different wavelengths into a fiber in the opposite direction. It utilizes a single fiber for both adding and dropping, which reduces overall costs, and increases the capacity of the fiber.
The single-sided OADM removes one channel from the network in one direction and sends it to a local interface. The remaining channels are passed straight through to other nodes along the network.
