400G QSFP-DD SR8 100m

Arkoptics' 400GBASE-SR8 transceiver is a hot-swappable quad small form-factor pluggable double density (QSFP-DD) optical module for 400G links over multimode fiber. It increases port density and saves total system cost. This QSFP-DD full-duplex optical module provides eight independent transmit and receive channels, each capable of operating at 53.125Gb/s, for an aggregate data rate of 400Gb/s. It uses 4-level pulse amplitude modulation (PAM4) format to provide point-to-point 400 Gigabit Ethernet links over 8 pairs of multimode fiber, up to 150 meters for OM5, 100 meters for OM4, and 70 meters for OM3.

An optical fiber cable with an MTP/MPO-16 connector can be plugged into the QSFP-DD SR8 module receptacle. Proper alignment is ensured by the guide pins inside the receptacle. The cable usually cannot be twisted for proper channel to channel alignment. Electrical connection is achieved through a QSFP-DD MSA-compliant edge type connector.

It complies with the QSFP-DD MSA standard and the IEEE 802.3cm 400GBASE-SR8 standard and the OIF-CEI-56G-VSR-PAM4 standard. Digital diagnostic functions are available through the I2C interface in accordance with the QSFP-DD MSA. The QSFP-DD SR8 module edge connector consists of 76 pads. It is carefully designed to meet the most stringent external operating conditions, including temperature, humidity, and EMI interference.
