Description
Fiber optic communications typically use fiber pairs for bidirectional communication, as is the case with most optical transceivers using duplex patch cords.
Single fiber multiplexers are also possible in passive CWDM solutions, and Arkoptics has developed a full range of CWDM single fiber multiplexers and OADMs to meet these requirements.
Single fiber CWDM should be used in pairs to transmits and receives different wavelengths into a fiber in the opposite direction. If Side A module plug and plays at one end, them Side B module must be at the other end.
8 Channel Single Fiber CWDM
8 Bi-directional Channels Skip Water-Peak 1390nm & 1410nm
8CH CWDM single fiber solution is more efficient and economical for many applications and scenarios, and provides the same performance and throughput, saving fiber resources required for WDM transmission. 8 bidirectional channels use 1270-1590nm / 1290-1610nm, and the water peak wavelengths 1390nm and 1410nm will be skipped. It is passive without electricity, featuring low insertion loss and excellent stability based on thin film filter technology. Low-profile modular design, fits in Arkoptics 2-slot 1U panel chassis.
Single Fiber CWDM Mux Demux
The single fiber CWDM Mux Demux can carry signals through only one fiber to realize simultaneous transmission of optical signals in two directions, and the signals in two directions cannot be the same wavelength. In both single and dual fiber system, CWDM Mux Demux must work in pairs for transmission.
Dual Fiber CWDM Mux Demux
Different with single fiber, the dual fiber CWDM Mux Demux carries signals with two fibers. One fiber is used for the transmit direction and the other is used for the receive direction. In dual fiber transmission system, the same wavelength is normally used in both the transmit and receive directions.
