Description
8 Fiber MTP/MPO Cables for 40G/100G/400G Transceivers
MTP/MPO is a multi-fiber connector that integrates eight, twelve, or twenty-four fibers into a single ferrule, allowing for the high-density deployment of high-speed LAN and data center applications in a single ferrule configuration. MTP/MPO cables allow for the seamless migration to higher data rates in the data center when used in conjunction with our trunk cables. They are typically used for patching within a cabinet. It is a cost-effective alternative to time-consuming field termination and designed for high-density fiber patching in data centers which need space saving and reduce cable management troubles.
The 8 Fiber MTP/MPO patch cables are typically used for direct connections between two 40G QSFP+, 100G QSFP28, 400G OSFP or 400G QSFP-DD transceiver modules. The four fibers on the left for transmission, and the four fibers on the right for signal reception, and the inner four fibers are not used.
Arkoptics provides 8 Fibers MTP/MPO patch cables with options for polarity Type A, Type B or Type C. They are factory pre-terminated and rigorously tested. Both MTP and MPO connectors are available with pinned (Male) or non pinned (Female) versions. They are compatible with IEC-61754-7 and TIA-604-5. Ultra-low loss MTP/MPO connectors can reduce signal loss during transmission to support long-distance transmissions and multiple connection areas.
