Interleaver DWDM 40 Channel

Optical interleaver takes two multiplexed 100GHz signals and interleaves them, generating a denser DWDM signal with 50GHz channel spacing. The process can be repeated, creating even denser composite signals with 25GHz or 12.5GHz spacing. The interleaver is bi-directional in that it can be used either as an interleaver or de-interleaver to separates a denser DWDM signal into odd channels and even channels. It is completely passive, requires no temperature control, featuring excellent environmental stability, and meets Telcordia GR-1221-CORE requirements. 

Interleaver DWDM from Arkoptics is a new type of DWDM multiplexing/demultiplexing 1U solution design to achieve the synthesis of two 40 or 48-wavelength 100GHz optical signals to transimit an 80 or 96-wavelength 50GHz optical signal. Therefore, optical interleaver DWDM can expand the number of channels per fiber, and upgrade equipment and/or networks without the need of upgrading all devices.
