LC Fiber Tap

The Traffic Access Point (TAP) is a monitoring device that's passive that is designed to redirect traffic that is live to monitor devices, creating an unambiguous boundary that separates the live networks and the monitoring infrastructure. It was designed to track the network's traffic efficiently while improving the performance of the network. This tool lets users get insights into the flow of network patterns, by splitting traffic to serve security and monitoring purposes, without interrupting the networks.

LC TAP fiber cassettes from Arkoptics are specifically designed to provide continuous monitoring in-line of network activity through LC Rx ports. The TAP ports are displayed in the form of LC simplex ports located on both sides of the cassette with split ratios that range from 50/50 up to 90/10. This makes the cassettes suitable for monitoring both singlemode and multimode duplex channels. The fiber-optic TAP cassettes can be used with MTP® and MPO series Multi-Function Fibre Patch Panel. Three cassettes are compatible with the 1U Chassis MOD3 Solution. Four cassettes are in the 1U Chassis MOD4 High Density Solution and five are in the 1U Chassis MOD5 Ultra High Density Solution which makes it simple to set up an efficient setup of TAP.
