PLC Fiber Optic Splitter 1xN, 2xN

PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) splitter is an optical power management device manufactured using silicon optical waveguide technology and used to distribute optical signals from a central office (CO) to multiple premises locations. By means of construction, the outputs of an optical splitter can have varying degrees of throughput, which is very beneficial when designing optical networks, whether the optical splitter is used for network monitoring or for a loss budget in passive optical network (PON) architecture. Compared to Fused Biconical Taper/FBT Splitters, PLC Splitters have a wide operation wavelength ranging from 1260nm to 1650nm with equal splitter ratios for all branches, making them ideal for EPON, GPON, FTTH/FTTX networks. PLC splitters can also be easily installed in fiber splice closure, optical distribution box, saving space and eliminating the need for splicing.
